Comprised of over 8,000 life sized detailed soldiers as well as other figures, the army was sculpted to accompany the first Qin emperor into the afterlife. The Terracotta Army is a part of a 98-square-kilometer mausoleum believed to be a replica of the city, though no one has entered the entire necropolis due to concerns over preservation and booby traps."
